In the current economy, money is getting harder and harder to come by. With many different companies downsizing and laying off workers left and right, your paycheck may get smaller, but your utility companies will not reduce your bills to compensate for the money you are not making. But there is an easy way to reduce your electricity bills that does not involve you walking around in the dark, or lighting candles.
You can easily build several types of power generators that will make clean, green, and best of all free power from nature. This is not some new futuristic stuff, I am taking about solar panels and wind turbines. They may be expensive when you see the ready made models on store shelves, but you can build your own quite easily. A good solar panel unit, or wind turbine, can be built in your back yard for less than two hundred dollars. All of the tools and equipment required are easily available at your local hardware or home improvement store. In some cases, some or all of the materials required for the job can be salvaged at no cost to you. That leaves you with a solar panel or wind turbine for the cost of the plans, which you only have to buy once, and build as many panels or turbines as you want to build.
One panel or turbine is not going to power your whole house, but they can be linked together. A single unit will supply power to your house, and reduce you power will by a bit. This helps a little, but when you link a decent amount of them together, you notice a significant savings on your monthly electricity bill. If you build and connect enough solar and wind units together, you can reliably power your entire house without buying any electricity from the power company. If you have a small shed that you would like to have powered, but do not feel like paying the electricity company a connection charge or deposit to run a line to it. Or even worse, pay commercial rates for its power, you should consider building your own solar panels or wind turbines. Making your own power may be the perfect thing for your home or building.
I am John, just a regular guy who knows about making my own electricity at home. I have a squidoo lens where you can learn more about making your own electricity at http://www.squidoo.com/Wind-Generators-and-Solar-Panels
